Live Tape – Maeno Kenta and the David Bowies
I saw these guys at the last 相対性理論 show I went to and boy was I impressed! Maeno’s writing is funny, touching and real. The music is also quite fresh (electric erhu anyone?), and yet reminds me of folk music’s accoustic past. I sincerely suggest you check them out if you have the chance!

Hey buddy, I’m sorry to be replying so late. My blog has been quite dead for quite a long time I’m afraid so now’s the perfect time to get ourselves back up and running! As far as Maeno Kenta is concerned, I’m waiting to go to another one of his shows before writing again about him. I’ll be adding some thoughts I had from his first show in that post as well!
Thanks for stopping by!

hey,
cool to see some Maeno Kenta love out there! I stumbled upon this while looking for his website. just thought I’d let you know that the movie Live Tape was shown at the New York Asian Film Festival here, and Maeno-san performend afterwards.
I wrote some thoughts about the event here…http://mondocurry.livejournal.com/2010/07/01/
I’ll be putting some photos, including Maeno, performing on the journal soon.
